Properties of the Nafion membrane impregnated with hydroxyl ammonium based ionic liquids

In this work, the Nafion 112 membrane impregnated with nine various hydroxyl ammonium based ionic liquids have been investigated. The used ionic liquids were combined from hydroxyl ammonium cations (2-hydroxyethylammonium/HEA, bis(2- hydroxyethyl)ammonium/BHEA, tris(2-hydroxyethyl)ammonium/THEA) and carboxylate anions (formate, acetate, lactate). The membranes are characterized by conductivity and thermal stability measurements. It was found, that almost all composites have 10 times higher ion conductivity than a pure Nafion 112 at 90 ?C in ambient environment due to the higher thermal stability. <p>A familly of chemically robust hybrid [Fe(Htrz)2(trz)](BF4)@SiO2nanoparticles (NPs) presenting different sizes (from ca. 90 to 28 nm) and an ultrathin silica shell (< 3 nm) have been prepared. All NPs present a characteristic abrupt spin transition with a subsequent decrease in the width of the thermal hysteresis upon reducing the NP size.<br></p>

Rearrangement under acidic conditions of the pyrrolylbenzotriazinone 7 afforded the pyrrolylbenzamides 10 and 11. By thermal rearrangement instead, the first fully aromatic derivative of the pyrrolo[3,4-c]isoquinoline ring system 9 was obtained.

Abstract Thermal cyclisation of 2-azido-3-(carbazol-3-yl)propenoic esters produces the 1,6-dihydropyrrolo[3,2- c ]carbazole and not the 1,9-dihydropyrrolo[2,3- b ]carbazole whereas, in the case of the 4-methylcarbazolyl derivative, the 1,9-dihydropyrrolo[2,3- b ]-carbazole is formed in preference to the alternative pyrido[4,3- c ]carbazole.
Facile synthesis of pyrazoles and pyrroles via thermolysis of tetrazolo[1,5-b]pyridazines, tetrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines and tetrazolo[1,5-a]pyridines

Abstract A simple and high yielding preparation of pyrazoles and pyrroles is described. Thermolysis of tetrazolo[1,5- b ]pyridazines, tetrazolo[1,5- a ]pyrimidines and tetrazolo[1,5- a ]pyridines allowed easy ring contraction thus providing a facile preparation of cyanopyrazole and cyanopyrrole heterocycles. Since the cyano group is a versatile precursor of other functionalities, the reaction appears of particular interest for the construction of a variety of pyrazoles and pyrroles. The simple preparation of the starting tetrazole derivatives, the relatively mild conditions employed, and the very short reaction times make this versatile procedure of great synthetic utility and applicable bo…

Es wird die Herstellung von vier Azoverbindungen beschrieben, die sich zum Teil vom α.α′-Azo-(isobuttersaurenitril) ableiten. Zwei Verbindungen geben bei der Polymerisation von Methacrylsauremethylester und Styrol Endgruppen, die in den Polymeren photometrisch leicht zu bestimmen sind; fur eine wird gezeigt, das sie die Polymerisation von Styrol startet, ohne das storende Nebenreaktionen auftreten. The influence of Fe3+ doping on thermally induced crystallization and phase evolution of amorphous calcium phosphate

The present study investigates thermally induced crystallization and phase evolution of amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) partially substituted with Fe3+ ions (M/P = 1.5 : 1). It was demonstrated that the presence of Fe3+ ions radically changes the crystallization behavior of ACP and completely prevents the formation of α-tricalcium phosphate (α-TCP, Ca3(PO4)2), which is the first crystalline phase obtained from non-substituted ACP upon thermal treatment. Surprisingly, calcium deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHA) was obtained instead of α-TCP. Such unusual crystallization behavior was observed with a doping level as low as 0.1 mol% with respect to Ca ions.
